In a demanding opening event where patience and positioning proved essential, the Apprentice Handicap Stakes (Class 6) went to RUBELLITE under Conor Whiteley for trainer Stephen Hanlon and owners Whitworth, Jolley & Sycamore Gap Racing. Travelling strongly before asserting in the latter stages, the winner completed the race in 3m 13.00s. HAVACHOC stayed on for second place after keeping the leader in sight throughout, while APACHE EAGLE finished third following a consistent effort over the extended distance.

Showing steady improvement through the final furlong, the Download The Restricted Maiden Fillies’ Stakes (Class 5) saw MISS LIZZY register victory for jockey Paddy Bradley, trainer Charlie Fellowes, and owner Mr A. Abukhadra. The filly travelled comfortably before moving clear late to record a winning time of 1m 16.22s. FIRE THUNDER produced a respectable performance in second, while LEUCOTHEA secured third place after remaining competitive throughout the contest.

A measured ride and strong late progress proved decisive in the Race And Rest – Wolverhampton Holiday Inn Handicap Stakes (Class 6), where KAKIRRA delivered success under Edward Greatrex for trainer Ollie Sangster and owners Red Post Racing. Settled in a favourable position during the middle stages, the runner advanced approaching the straight before crossing the line in 2m 41.10s. FOREVER PERFECT finished second following a sustained challenge, while SONG OF THE STARS completed the placings

Among the standout displays of the meeting, the Maiden Fillies’ Stakes (Class 4) produced an authoritative performance from SEET. Ridden by Robert Havlin for trainers John & Thady Gosden and owners Shadwell Estate Company Ltd, the filly travelled fluently before quickening clear inside the closing stages to complete the race in 1m 49.37s. WITHTEARSINMYEYES remained prominent throughout to finish second, while SILVER LAKE stayed on for third.

Maintaining momentum from the home turn and responding strongly under pressure, the Handicap Stakes (Class 5) went to PINTS IN PEACE for jockey Jonny Peate, trainer Ivan Furtado, and owners Alfa Site Services & Partner. The winner stopped the clock at 1m 28.17s after producing a determined finish in the straight. AHEAD OF FASHION kept on steadily to secure second place, with ARCTIC WIND taking third after late progress.

In a tightly contested handicap where several runners challenged entering the final furlong, the Handicap Stakes (Class 6) resulted in victory for SPLIT ELEVENS under Jack Callan for trainer John Butler and owner Mr Dave James. Travelling strongly into contention before edging clear late on, the winner completed the contest in 1m 27.64s. LESSAY finished second after pressing the leader near the finish, while BAD HABITS claimed third.

Bringing the evening fixture to a sharp conclusion, the Closing Handicap Stakes (Class 6) saw NANA’S BOY GEORGE produce a decisive performance under Robert Havlin for trainer Alexandra Dunn and owner Mr S. Rain. Showing good early pace and maintaining the advantage through the closing stages, the runner recorded a winning time of 1m 13.67s. ENTER SANDMAN stayed on for second, while HELLCAT completed the first three home.

The Wolverhampton card delivered a consistently competitive evening of all-weather racing, with several winners producing performances that suggested further progress could follow in upcoming assignments.
