Tackling 2m 5f, she jumped accurately throughout and travelled with purpose. Taking the lead before the final fence, she stayed on resolutely to confirm her class in one of the day’s standout contests.
At 4:30 PM, the Spa Motors Hereford Handicap Steeple Chase over 3m 1f tested endurance once again. Edgewell (IRE), ridden by Harry Reed, produced a solid round of jumping and stayed on powerfully to secure victory. The gelding handled the testing distance well, asserting in the closing stages as others began to tire.
The card concluded at 5:05 PM with the Richard Layton Charity Evening Open National Hunt Flat Race, a bumper over 2 miles. Crystal Jet (FR), giving Isabelle Ryder a double on the day, impressed with a strong finishing effort. Positioned towards the rear early, the gelding made steady headway before delivering a decisive run in the straight to claim the win.
