The curtain fell on an exhilarating day at the Hyderabad Winter Races 2025-2026 with Race 8, The Next Move Plate, a Class V handicap for horses aged four and above rated up to 25, covering 1200 meters. American Affair (J: P Ajeeth Kumar, T: Ananta Vatsalya) delivered a commanding performance for owner Mr T Rakesh Reddy, asserting herself as the standout performer in the Hyderabad race results 4 April and bringing the day’s action to a thrilling close.

From the start, American Affair settled just behind the leaders, conserving energy before unleashing a decisive surge in the final 200 meters. P Ajeeth Kumar guided her with timing and precision, allowing her to draw clear and claim victory with authority. Deccan Ranger (J: Mukesh Kumar, T: S S F Hassan) ran on determinedly to take second, while Live Legend (J: Ajay Kumar, T: Laxman Singh) finished third, completing a close-knit top three.

Earlier in the day, excitement had built from the very first race. Yuvraj (J: Mukesh Kumar, T: D. Netto) kicked off the afternoon in Race 1, The Cyndy Plate, over 1800 meters, delivering for owners M/s Suchit Jayraj Shah, Sudarshan Singh Rathore Kanwar & Rishiraj Singh Rathore. He was followed by Golden Aura and Photograph. Race 2, The Galactica Plate (1200m), saw Arthisha (J: Mukesh Kumar, T: Magan Singh Parmar, owner Mr Prashant Datta Kankonkar) take the win ahead of Analysis and Cypress, while Race 3, The Grace Hanover Plate Div I, belonged to Miss Smiley Angel (J: A. Ashhad Asbar, T: G Shashikanth, owner Mr V Narendar Reddy), with N R I Triple Power and Sharanga completing the placings.

The mid-afternoon contests maintained the momentum. Race 4, The Solitaire Plate (1400m), produced a stylish victory for Catchme If You Can (J: Mukesh Kumar, T: Magan Singh Parmar, owners Col M P Singh & Mr Shailendra Singh), followed by Bholi Punjaban and Clefairy. In Race 5, The Windscale Plate (1600m), Garfunkle (J: P. Trevor, T: Bharath Singh, owner M/s A G Bloodstock LLP et al.) surged past Toshiro and Northern Sky, while Race 6, The Brave Dancer Plate (1200m), saw Northern Waves (J: Ajay Kumar, T: G Shashikanth, owner Mr V Narendar Reddy) claim a tactical triumph over One N Only and Diablo.

Race 7, The Grace Hanover Plate Div II, delivered another tight contest with Greif (J: Neeraj Rawal, T: K S V Prasad Raju, owners M/s S Prasad Raju & Mukund Kakani) taking the spoils ahead of Ayushman and Home Run, setting the stage for the grand finale.

As the day concluded, American Affair’s authoritative win in The Next Move Plate capped a memorable ninth day of the Hyderabad Winter Races, leaving fans eager for the feature events in the coming fixtures and promising more displays of speed, strategy, and stamina in the season ahead.
