The Kolkata race result 26 March card continued to build momentum as Race 5, The Tug Of War Handicap, a Class V contest for horses rated 21–46 (rated 1–26 eligible), was run over 1600 metres at 5:00 PM during the CALCUTTA RACES, SUMMER MEETING, SEVENTH DAY. Lochs And Glens, ridden with assurance by Suraj Narredu and trained by Neil Darashah, produced a resolute performance to claim top honours for a large ownership group comprising Mrs Samina Akbar Warsi, Mr Enrico Piperno, Mr Shankar Lal Agarwal, Mr Akhilesh Singh, Mr Prashant Sharma, Mr S Roopesh, Mr Dhananjay Singh and Mr Neil Darashah.

The race unfolded at a measured tempo, with the field settling into position early before gradually quickening past the halfway stage. Lochs And Glens travelled comfortably through the middle stages, conserving energy as rivals began to feel the pressure approaching the final bend. Once straightened for home, Suraj Narredu asked for an effort and the response was immediate, as the colt lengthened stride impressively to assert control and hold off late challengers with authority.

True Faith, under Varun for trainer Vikash Jaiswal, finished second after staying on gamely in the closing stages, while Garth, partnered by P. Trevor and trained by Aashay Doctor, secured third place with a steady late run. The trio finished with clear separation, reflecting a well-contested mile event.

With this race concluded, attention now shifts to The Bright Law Handicap scheduled at 05:30 PM, where another competitive field is expected to keep the evening’s racing narrative firmly engaging.
