The Hyderabad race result 17 March opened with a sharp sprint as Diligence stamped authority in the day’s first contest. Race 1, The Narayanpet Plate Div I, a Class IV handicap for horses aged four years and upward rated 20 to 45, was run over 1100 metres at 03:00 PM on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at the Hyderabad Winter Races 2025-2026 (4th Day). Diligence, ridden with confidence by Kuldeep Singh (Sr) and trained by Laxman Singh, delivered a decisive performance for the ownership of M/s Villoo Poonawalla Racing & Breeding Private Limited, represented by Dr Cyrus S Poonawalla and Mr Adar C Poonawalla.

Breaking well from the gates, Diligence quickly settled into a handy position before asserting control approaching the final bend. Kuldeep Singh (Sr) timed his challenge to perfection, allowing the filly to stride clear in the straight. Showing a neat turn of foot and maintaining momentum under pressure, Diligence held firm in the closing stages to secure a comfortable victory.

Red Hot Punch, under P Ajeeth Kumar for trainer Ananta Vatsalya, chased gamely but had to settle for second place, while Fox Worth, partnered by P. Sai Kumar and trained by D Netto, stayed on to claim third. The trio finished in competitive order, setting the tone for an engaging afternoon of racing.

With the opener concluded, attention now shifts to the next contest, The Flirting Vision Plate, scheduled at 03:35 PM, where another closely fought battle is expected on the Hyderabad card.
