The action continued at the Hyderabad Winter Races 2025–2026 (2nd Day, Tuesday, March 10, 2026) with Race 5 – The Srisailam Plate, a 1200m maiden contest for three-year-old horses, run at 05:20 PM. Delivering a sharp and confident performance, Dardanus (J: Antony Raj S.) secured his maiden victory for trainer Bharath Singh, clocking a composed run to finish first. Representing the colours of Mr Joydeep Datta Gupta, the colt justified expectations with a decisive performance over the sprint distance.

In what will feature prominently in the Hyderabad race result 10 March coverage, Dardanus travelled smoothly through the early stages before producing a well-timed surge in the final furlong. Jockey Antony Raj S. positioned the youngster cleverly, conserving energy before asking for the decisive effort in the home stretch. Once challenged, Dardanus responded strongly, quickening away from his rivals and maintaining a comfortable advantage to the finish.

Master Class (J: Imran Chisty, T: N. Ravinder Singh) ran a creditable race to secure second place, staying on steadily behind the winner. Toshiro (J: Akshay Kumar, T: Magan Singh Parmar) finished third, completing the podium after making late headway in the closing stages. The trio finished in competitive fashion in the sprint maiden.

With The Srisailam Plate concluded, attention at the Hyderabad racecourse now turns to The Common Land Plate, scheduled at 05:45 PM, where another competitive field will line up as the evening’s racing programme continues.
