The sprint produced a decisive performance from Shine, who powered home under Suraj Narredu to secure victory for trainer Vijay Singh. Representing Ms Cairnhill Stud Farm Pvt Ltd & Ms Sarainaga Racing Pvt Ltd, the winner delivered a composed and authoritative run in the afternoon’s competitive dash.
The Kolkata race result 6 March coverage gained another highlight with Shine’s sharp turn of foot in the final stages. Settled comfortably through the early part of the race, the Vijay Singh-trained runner tracked the leaders before Suraj Narredu asked for an effort approaching the final furlong. Responding willingly, Shine quickened smartly and surged ahead in the closing strides, sealing the race with a confident finishing burst that left the chasing pack struggling to match the acceleration.
Merlet finished a commendable second under Imran Chisty for trainer S. Waheed, maintaining a steady challenge throughout the straight but unable to match the winner’s late surge. Oishika, ridden by Abhishek Mhatre and trained by Shyam S Habbu, completed the top three after staying on steadily to secure third place.
