There will be more than roses in the air at the Philippine Jockey Club on Saturday afternoon. As Valentines Day unfolds on February 14, the track will come alive from 3:00pm to 6:00pm with a seven-race programme that promises emotion, ambition and tightly matched competition. Each contest will carry the same prize money of ₱300,000, ensuring balance across the card and intensity from start to finish. At the heart of the celebration will stand Race 4, the RBHS Class 3 (57–70 Split) Valentines Day Handicap, positioned at 4:30pm as the feature race of the afternoon.

The curtain will rise at 3:00pm with Race 1, a 3YO & Above Maiden Race for placers over 1400m. Six runners will step into the spotlight, many still searching for a breakthrough performance. With ₱300,000 on offer, even maiden company will carry genuine weight, and the opening strides will set the emotional tone for the day.

Race 2 at 3:30pm will move into RBHS Class 4 (42–56 Split) company, also over 1400m. Eight runners will line up, and the deeper field will bring tactical complexity. Class 4 contests often hinge on rhythm and positioning, and the added distance will reward those who judge their pace wisely.

At 4:00pm, Race 3 will return to a 3YO & Above Maiden Race for placers, again over 1400m with six runners. For connections, these races will represent opportunity. For the crowd, they will offer a glimpse of potential futures beginning to take shape.

The spotlight will sharpen at 4:30pm for Race 4, the Valentines Day Handicap, an RBHS Class 3 (57–70 Split) over 1400m with eight runners and ₱300,000 at stake. Usir will partner Rd Raquel Jr for trainer Renato D. Hipolito. Reverse Merger will combine with Jb Hernandez for Donato S. Sordan. Thaddeus will see Jl Lazaro team up with Antonio S. Jacob, while Great Shashi will represent Renato D. Hipolito under Ar Villegas. Resonant, trained by Ramon Nartea, will be guided by Jt Zarate, and Iron Edge will bring Op Cortez together again with Renato D. Hipolito.

Easy Jay will have Cp Henson aboard for Anthony A. Henson, while Dreamgirl will complete the line-up under Ab Serios for Ramon Nartea. In a handicap setting, balance will be everything. Weight assignments will test resolve, and class will need to meet courage.

Race 5 at 5:00pm will transition into RBHS Class 5 (17–41 Split) over 1400m. Six runners will contest the trip, and the competitive spirit will remain undiminished. Even in the lower rating band, the equal prize structure will sustain urgency.

Race 6 at 5:30pm will continue in RBHS Class 5 (17–41 Split) company, this time with seven runners covering the same 1400m distance. By this stage of the afternoon, stamina and race craft will become decisive, particularly for those backing up strong early efforts.

The finale at 6:00pm will present Race 7, an RBHS Class 4 (42–56 Split) over 1400m with eight runners. As the closing chapter of Valentines Race Day, it will carry the same ₱300,000 prize fund and the same expectation of excellence. The final furlong will not merely conclude the card. It will seal a day defined by measured rivalry and shared celebration.

Philippine Racecards 14 February will blend sentiment with sport. Romance may frame the occasion, but it will be resolve, timing and competitive instinct that ultimately shape the results.
