Bolton Trophy, as Thundering Phoenix stamped his authority over 1400 metres in the Class II contest for horses rated 60 to 86 (40 to 59 eligible) at 3:30 PM on Thursday, 12th February 2026. Trained by Adhirajsingh Jodha and ridden with assurance by Vivek G., the winner clocked a sharp 1:23:028.

Breaking smartly from the gates, Thundering Phoenix was positioned prominently without being bustled, Vivek G. allowing the horse to find his rhythm just off the early pace. As the field straightened for home, the leader attempted to quicken, but Thundering Phoenix responded with a measured surge. Once angled into the clear, he lengthened fluently inside the final furlong, asserting superiority with a decisive burst that left his rivals struggling to bridge the gap.
FOURTH WING, ridden by Yash Narredu and trained by Aman Altaf Hussain, chased gamely to secure second, while EARTH, under Akshay Kumar for trainer Sanjay Kolse, finished third after staying on steadily in the closing stages. The trio were well clear of the remainder, underlining the quality of the contest.
With the P. D. Bolton Trophy concluded, attention at the Mumbai meeting now shifts to The M. M. T. Pandole Plate at 4:00 PM, where another competitive field promises to keep the afternoon’s momentum firmly alive.
