Bahrain Turf Club to Stage Eight-Race Programme on Thursday Evening

An eight-race programme will be staged at the Bahrain Turf Club (BTC) on Thursday evening, featuring sprint and middle-distance contests across a competitive schedule beginning at 5:30 pm and concluding at 9:00 pm.

A key highlight of the card will be the Al Sharif Group Bahrain Bred Cup, offering the highest prize money of the evening and bringing together leading locally bred runners over 1200 metres in one of the meeting’s most competitive races.

Race 1, the SAFRA CUP, will open proceedings at 5:30 pm over 1000 metres with prize money of BHD 1,500, where Mlolshan, Kuheilan Weld Umm Zorayr, Al Hamdany, Al Rabda, Al Saqlawy, Krushan and Kuheilan Aafas will be expected to contest the opening sprint.

The programme will continue with Race 2, the CROWN INDUSTRIES B.S.C (C) CUP, scheduled at 6:00 pm over 1400 metres for BHD 2,000, with Naahy, Taufan, The Ghost Ship, Authority, Sakhr and Meaad set to line up.

Race 3, the CROWN INDUSTRIES B.S.C (C) MILE CUP, will take place at 6:30 pm over 1600 metres, offering BHD 3,000 in prize money as Rawalpindi Express, Stellar Arrow, Authentic Charm, Qalaa, Superior and Social Exclusion are due to compete.

The sprint division will return in Race 4, the AL SHARIF GROUP SPRINT CUP, run at 7:00 pm over 1200 metres for BHD 3,000, where Arctic Grey, Maystar, Western, Sharkii and What A Business will be among the expected runners.

Race 5, the AL SHARIF GROUP BAHRAIN BRED CUP, will also be staged over 1200 metres at 7:30 pm, offering BHD 4,000 as Zeal, Members Only, Shgardi, Luna and Waqiaah are scheduled to compete.

The Race 6, will step up in distance at 8:00 pm over 1800 metres for BHD 2,000, where Bairaq, Carmeleon, Shaheen, The Last Call, Injazat and Yazar will meet in a competitive middle-distance contest.

RACE 7 will move further to 2000 metres at 8:30 pm, again for BHD 2,000, with Laser Guided, Lazarus Dream, Mahrousa, Mossaafer and King Of The Throne expected to test their stamina in the penultimate event.

The meeting will conclude with Race 8, the AL SHARIF GROUP CUP, run at 9:00 pm over 2200 metres with prize money of BHD 3,000, where Tartan Chief, Burglar, Knight Of Honour, Azka, Mawood and Rayounpour will contest the longest race on the card.

The evening programme will combine speed contests with stamina tests, providing a balanced racing schedule as part of the ongoing Bahrain season, while the Bahrain Race Cards 12 February fixture will bring together competitive fields across all distances.
