The Mumbai Meeting 2025/26, Eleventh Day, Sunday 1st February 2026, saw Race 4, The Sir Homi Mehta Million, a 1200m maiden contest exclusively for three-year-old Indian horses, deliver a thrilling finish. In a performance that had punters and spectators alike buzzing, Lady Scarlet (J: P. Trevor, T: Adhirajsingh Jodha) surged past her rivals to claim victory for owners Mr Jaisal Singh, Mr Geoffrey B Nagpal, Mr Angad Singh rep Mukteshwar Rac LLP, and Mr Maloji Bhosale, in a display that underlined her potential as a rising star. Racing fans following the Mumbai race result 1 February were quick to highlight her composed yet authoritative run.
Breaking well from the gates, Lady Scarlet settled just off the pace before unleashing a decisive turn of foot in the final 300 metres. Guided with patience and precision by P. Trevor, she carved through the field with a smooth, unhurried acceleration, leaving competitors trailing in her wake. Her timing and balance were impeccable, ensuring she crossed the line with both authority and poise.
The runner-up position went to Pinnacle (J: Yash Narredu, T: M. Narredu), who kept the leader in check throughout the straight but could not match Lady Scarlet’s finishing kick. Third place was secured by Beast Mode (J: David Allan, T: M. K. Jadhav), who closed strongly in the final furlong to make up ground but fell just short of the runner-up. The top three were separated by narrow margins, reflecting a tightly contested maiden sprint.
With the excitement of Race 4 settling, attention now turns to the Thackers Eclipse Stakes of India (Grade II) at 04:30 PM, expected to challenge both speed and stamina as the afternoon progresses.
