The Mumbai racing afternoon on Sunday, 1st February 2026 gathered momentum with Race 2, the Keki D. Mehta Memorial Million, a Terms race for maiden Indian three-year-olds run over 1600 metres at 2:45 PM, delivering a decisive first-career success for Alexios. In what will feature prominently in the Mumbai race result 1 February coverage, Alexios was confidently partnered by David Allan to score for trainer Sanjay Kolse, carrying the colours of Mr Geoffrey B. Nagpal & Mrs Charonne Nagpal with authority.

Settled into a comfortable rhythm through the early stages, Alexios travelled smoothly as the field sorted itself out around the sweeping bends. Allan waited patiently before asking his mount to lengthen stride approaching the final furlong, and the response was immediate. Once produced, Alexios asserted control decisively, pulling clear to register a professional and convincing maiden victory.

Radiant Reign stayed on resolutely to claim second place under P. Trevor for trainer Dallas Todywalla, keeping the winner honest without ever threatening to bridge the gap. Puccini, ridden by Tom Marquand and trained by P. Shroff, finished on strongly to secure third, completing a competitive trifecta in this well-contested maiden event.

With the Keki D. Mehta Memorial Million concluded, attention at Mahalaxmi now turns to the afternoon’s rising centrepiece, the Rusi Patel Trophy (Grade III), scheduled for 3:15 PM, promising another compelling chapter on an eventful Mumbai race day.
