Race Number 2 on the card at the Calcutta Races, Winter Meeting (Sixth Day) unfolded at 02:00 PM on Friday, 30th January, 2026, with Garth producing a resolute staying performance to win The Sans Pareil Handicap, a Class IV contest for horses rated 21–46 (rated 1–26 eligible) over 2400 metres. Carrying the silks of M/s Sarainaga Racing Pvt Ltd, the Aashay Doctor-trained runner, partnered by P. Trevor, showed grit and balance to score decisively in a truly run affair.

Early on, the Kolkata race result 30 January narrative began to take shape as the field settled into a steady rhythm, with Garth travelling comfortably through the middle stages. Asked to lengthen stride entering the straight, he responded with authority, holding his line under pressure and finding just enough in the closing strides to deny his challengers in a tight finish.

Cascade (J: Varun, T: Vikash Jaiswal) made a bold bid and was beaten by the narrowest of margins, stopping the clock at 2:34.745, while Divine Gift (J: Mukesh Kumar, T: Vijay Singh) stayed on gamely for third in 2:34.802, ensuring the first three finished within fractions of a second of one another. Garth’s winning time was 2:34.727, underlining the competitiveness of the staying handicap.
