The opening contest of the day set a confident tone as Power Racer landed Race No.1, The Sniper Handicap, a Class V (1–26) handicap over 1600 metres, at 1:30 PM on Friday, 30 January 2026, during the Calcutta Races Winter Meeting (Sixth Day). In what quickly shaped up as a clean and professional performance, Power Racer (J: Gaurav Singh) delivered a decisive victory for trainer-owner Mr B. Rajender Reddy, stopping the clock at 1:39.702 and stamping authority on the early Kolkata race result 30 January narrative.

Settled comfortably through the early stages, Power Racer travelled smoothly in mid-division before jockey Gaurav Singh began to edge closer approaching the far turn. Once angled into the clear in the straight, the gelding responded gamely, quickening with purpose to assert inside the final furlong and draw clear without ever looking in danger. The ride was measured and confident, perfectly matching the horse’s rhythm over the mile.

Dancing Queen (J: Md Sameer, T: Vikash Jaiswal) kept the winner honest throughout and stayed on resolutely to claim second in 1:40.492, while Toussaint (J: M. S. Deora, T: Javed Khan) finished on steadily to secure third place, clocking 1:40.528, as the leading trio finished well clear of the rest.
