The Royal Calcutta Turf Club (RCTC) is set to stage a seven-race programme on Friday, 30 January, featuring a diverse lineup across distance and class categories. The Kolkata Race Cards 30 January highlight a mix of sprint and middle-distance contests, with elite contenders expected in each race. Racing is scheduled to commence at 1:30 PM and continue through the afternoon, with total prize money exceeding Rs. 52 lakh.

The meeting will open with The Sniper Handicap, a Class V contest for horses rated 1-26, run over 1600 metres at 1:30 PM. This race is expected to be highly competitive, featuring Mohsin, Toussaint, Simran’s Attitude, Flaming Grey, and Born To Be Spoilt. With a purse of Rs. 3,00,000, it offers a strong incentive for emerging horses and younger talent to make a mark on the turf.

Next, the Sans Pareil Handicap (Class IV) is set for 2:00 PM over 2400 metres. Horses rated 21-46, including Cascade, Lucky Nine, No Worry, Garth, and Divine Gift, will compete for the Rs. 4,00,000 prize, making stamina a key factor in this long-distance contest.

At 2:30 PM, the AB & M Indian Champagne Stakes (Grade III) will feature three-year-old horses over 1400 metres. Leading entries Admiringly, Saiko, Starliner, and Dreamflight are poised to contest the high-value purse of Rs. 19,95,000, showcasing some of the most promising young talent of the season.

The Governor’s Cup, Class I, is scheduled for 3:00 PM over 1600 metres for horses rated 95 and above. Prominent competitors Vincent Van Gogh, Casteel, Glorious King, King’s Retreat, and Blackstone will vie for the Rs. 10,00,000 prize, highlighting the day’s top-tier challenge.

At 3:30 PM, the Castlebridge Handicap (Class II) over 1200 metres will feature runners rated 61-86. Outlander, Aperol, Pantazi, Aspira, and Abhicandra will battle for the Rs. 5,50,000 purse in this fast-paced sprint.

The afternoon continues with The Awesome One Handicap (Division I) at 4:00 PM, a Class III race for horses rated 41-66 over 1200 metres. Oishika, Conjurer, Blue God, Into The Storm, and Impressive Annie are lined up to contest the Rs. 5,00,000 prize.

Finally, The Awesome One Handicap (Division II), also Class III, is scheduled for 4:30 PM over 1200 metres. Kay Star, All Time Legend, Cat Whiskers, Tycoonist, and Most And More will compete for the Rs. 5,00,000 prize, bringing the day’s racing programme to a close.
