Under the glow of the floodlights, Kempton Park staged a compelling Monday afternoon of all-weather racing on January 19, where seven races combined pace, precision, and professionalism. The Floodlit Racing card unfolded between 1:08pm and 4:08pm, delivering a sequence of performances that reflected the depth of winter racing and the rewards of tactical riding on the polytrack. Each contest carried its own rhythm, but together they formed a cohesive afternoon marked by confidence, clarity, and competitive resolve.

The opener set the tone as Race 1 – Handicap brought immediate intent to proceedings. Apache Green, a 4yo black gelding, travelled strongly throughout and asserted late under Kieran O’Neill. Trained by S Woods and owned by M D I Usher, the winner stopped the clock at 1m 38.99s, drawing clear of Token Gesture and Mbappe with authority after tracking the pace smoothly.

Speed sharpened the focus in Race 2 – Multi Handicap. Dr Ali showed crisp acceleration over the shorter trip, responding well to Jonny Peate’s timing. The 4yo bay gelding, trained by J R Jenkins for owners B Dowling and R Stevens, claimed the verdict in 1m 13.19s, edging clear as Magna and Respectable Jack chased in vain.

Patience proved decisive in Race 3 – Maiden Fillies’ Stakes (GBB/GBBPlus Race). Helga, a 3yo bay filly, delivered a composed performance under Oisin Murphy. Representing Andrew Balding and Norman Court Stud, she stayed on resolutely to score in 2m 22.69s, with Distorted Truth and Misty Cove filling the placings.

Class came to the fore in Race 4 – Novice Stakes (GBBPlus Race). Caliban dictated terms with confidence, travelling fluently before stretching clear late. The 4yo bay gelding, also trained by Andrew Balding and ridden again by Murphy, stopped the clock at 2m 18.68s, holding off Summer Appeal and Siouxfonic.

The tempo lifted sharply in Race 5 – Extra Place Races Handicap (London Sprint Series Qualifier). Up The Agenda showed sharp gate speed and determination, with Daniel Muscutt delivering a precise ride. Trained by Jack Morland, the 3yo bay gelding clocked 1m 14.51s, keeping Unionville and Space Bear at bay.

Fillies took centre stage in Race 6 – Fillies’ Handicap (London Sprint Series Qualifier). Your Love, a 4yo grey filly, displayed grit and balance under George Wood. Trained by Richard Spencer for Phil Cunningham, she prevailed in 1m 11.58s, fending off late pressure to seal success ahead of Richard Spencer and Handle With Care.

The curtain fell with authority in Race 7 – New Smartview Racecards Handicap. I’m Workin On It finished strongly to close the card on a high. The 4yo bay gelding, guided by Lewis Edmunds and trained by Rod Millman for Canisbay Bloodstock, recorded a winning time of 1m 25.59s, pulling clear of Party Bear and Exposay.

Kempton Race Results 19 January delivered clarity, consistency, and several performances worth tracking as the winter campaign continues to build momentum.
