Mehta Trophy, a 1000-metre terms race exclusively for three-year-old Indian horses, held on Sunday, 18th January 2026 at 03:30 PM. Racing in the colours of Mr Niraj Tyagi and Mr Vikas Sachdeva rep. Blazing Saddles PF, Mr Akshay Bansarilal Arora, Mr Teja Gollapudi, and Mr Hatim A Lakdawala, BLUE JET impressed with a composed and authoritative performance, sealing the win in a thrilling finish. Fans following the Mumbai race result 18 January were treated to a scintillating showcase of speed and timing.
From the outset, BLUE JET settled well in the early metres, maintaining a prominent position while biding time for the decisive move. As the field rounded the home turn, the winner unleashed a burst of pace under Narredu’s skilful guidance, pulling clear in the final 200 metres to assert dominance and cross the line with poise, demonstrating both tactical awareness and finishing speed beyond typical three-year-old company.
DREAMS COME TRUE (J: A. Prakash, T: Sanjay Kolse) pressed hard throughout, keeping BLUE JET within striking distance and ultimately finishing second in a tight contest. GUNFIRE (J: Neeraj Rawal, T: M. Narredu) closed strongly to take third, rounding out an exciting top three.
