The feature race of the day is the Lisha Cup – Thoroughbred Handicap 70-90, a 2000-metre contest with Qr 100,000 in prize money. This highly anticipated race will bring together top thoroughbreds and jockeys for a test of stamina, strategy, and skill under the floodlights of QREC.

The day’s racing card will kick off at 15:00 with the Thoroughbred Maiden Plate (3yo Only, Class 6) over 1300 metres. With a prize of Qr 45,000, this race will showcase young three-year-olds taking their first steps into competitive racing, giving owners and trainers their first glimpse of future talent.

At 15:35, the Thoroughbred Handicap 0-60 (Class 6) will follow over 1200 metres, also offering Qr 45,000. Expect a competitive sprint where jockeys will need precise timing and strategy to gain an early advantage.

At 18:30, the Local Purebred Arabian Handicap 75-95 (Class 3) will cover 1200 metres, offering Qr 70,000. As the evening sets in and the track lights shine bright, spectators will enjoy a thrilling sprint from top-class local Arabians.

The Thoroughbred Handicap 85-105 (Class 2) at 19:05 over 1100 metres will precede the feature race, with Qr 65,000 on offer. This fast-paced contest will see high-quality thoroughbreds pushing their limits in preparation for the day’s highlight.

Finally, the spotlight will be on the Lisha Cup – Thoroughbred Handicap 70-90, the day’s crown jewel.
