The Bahrain Race Results 26 December confirmed a successful eight-race programme at the Bahrain Turf Club (BTC) on Friday evening, with contests staged smoothly across sprint and middle-distance races and a full set of winners recorded on the day.
The programme opened at 4:00 pm with the Alba Arabian Cup over 1400 metres, where OBEYAN claimed the first success of the meeting. Ridden by Ebrahim Nader and trained by Abdulla Kuwaiti for owner Al Wasmiya, the winner completed the distance in 1:37.081 while competing for a total prize of BHD 1,500.
At 4:30 pm, the Alba Rising Stars Cup over 1400 metres was won by GOLDEN ARROW. Partnered by Abdulla Al Hawaj and trained by Osama Hashim, the runner stopped the clock at 1:25.583 to secure the BHD 2,000 prize for Al Hermes Racing.
The Alba Eternal Cup followed at 5:00 pm over the same distance and produced one of the quicker performances of the evening. BUSSENTO emerged on top in a time of 1:22.529 under Anas Al Siyabi. The winner was trained by Fawzi Nass and carried the colours of Al Mohamediya Racing, racing for BHD 3,000.
Race four at 5:30 pm featured the Alba Bahrain Bred Handicap Cup over 1800 metres. ZEESHAAN proved strongest in the field, with Callum Shepherd guiding the Adel Abdulla-trained runner to victory in 1:52.440 for the Fateel Brothers Syndicate, competing for a prize of BHD 2,000.
The feature middle-distance contest, the Alba Cup over 2000 metres at 6:00 pm, was secured by SOVEREIGN SPIRIT. Ridden by Benoit De La Sayette and trained by Jaber Ramadhan, the winner showed stamina and control to score in 2:07.196, earning the highest prize of the meeting at BHD 5,000 for Al-Afoo Racing.
Sprint action resumed at 6:30 pm with the Alba Handicap Sprint Cup over 1200 metres. SHARKII captured the race in a time of 1:13.363 under jockey Abdulla Faisal. The winner was trained by Mahmood Jawad and owned by Al Sharq Racing, racing for BHD 2,000.
At 7:00 pm, the Aluminum for the World Sprint Cup over 1000 metres delivered the fastest time of the evening. DREAM OUT LOUD crossed the line in 58.746 seconds, with Ebrahim Nader aboard for trainer Jaber Ramadhan and owner Hasan Mefareh Alajmi, collecting a prize of BHD 3,000.
The card concluded at 7:30 pm with the Alba Equine Excellence Cup over 1200 metres. EZZ ALBAHRAIN closed the programme with a solid success in 1:13.522. Ridden by Ebrahim Nader, the winner was trained by Ahmed Al Sadah and owned by Al Jasmi Stable, earning BHD 2,000.
