The 25th Al Rayyan Race Meeting at the Qatar Racing & Equestrian Club found its defining moment on Sunday, December 21, when Bint Mohaather delivered a composed and decisive performance to land Race 9, the Qatar Oaks (Thoroughbred). Carrying a USD 100,000 purse, the feature crowned a nine-race card that unfolded with growing intensity, placing the spotlight firmly on elite fillies and confirming Al Rayyan’s standing as a stage for quality-driven competition.

The card opened with Purebred Arabian promise as Monaafasah claimed the PUREBRED ARABIAN MAIDEN PLATE worth USD 15,000. Ridden by Pierre Charles Boudot and trained by Julian Colin Smart, the filly delivered a composed performance for owner Mr. Khalifa Bin Sheail KH J Al Kuwari, finishing ahead of Shimvere Du Raynal, with Shakeemah Gold taking third.

Momentum carried into the THOROUGHBRED MAIDEN PLATE, where Tabahi broke through decisively under Szczepan Mazur. Trained by Ibrahim Saeed Al Malki and owned by Sh. Faisal Bin Hamad Bin Jassim Al Thani, Tabahi held off Kubey, while Joyful Princess completed the frame in a USD 15,000 contest.

Race 3 raised the stakes in the THOROUGHBRED HANDICAP (75–95), and it was Warming who delivered with authority. Pierre Charles Boudot partnered the Hamad Al-Jehani trainee to victory for owner Mr. Khalid Bin Ghanem M Al-Kuwari, finishing clear of Forever Blue and September Leaves to claim the USD 30,000 prize.

Oaks action began in earnest with the LOCAL PUREBRED ARABIAN OAKS, where Grace Secret asserted control under Boudot once again. Trained by Ibrahim Khaled Elahmed and owned by Umm Al Shukhut Farm, she prevailed over Kendah Al Shahania, with Anika in third for USD 55,000.

The international PUREBRED ARABIAN OAKS followed, and Dhariya delivered a polished success for Al Shaqab Racing. Faleh Bughenaim guided the Jean de Mieulle trainee home ahead of Al Fareeq and Dabida, collecting another USD 55,000 on a night increasingly defined by elite female talent.

Race 6 brought further depth to the Oaks theme as Shama’ah Bu Thaila landed the LOCAL PUREBRED ARABIAN OAKS worth USD 60,000. Trained by Alban Elie De Mieulle and owned by Wathnan Racing, the winner again found strength through Faleh Bughenaim, defeating Keheilah Al Sakab and Jahanara.

That dominance continued in Race 7, where Chdia delivered for Wathnan Racing in the PUREBRED ARABIAN OAKS. Ridden by James Doyle and trained by Alban Elie De Mieulle, Chdia proved too strong for Intisar De Monlau, with Ghara finishing third in another USD 60,000 contest.

The LOCAL THOROUGHBRED OAKS followed, and War Lady rose to the occasion under Soufiane Saadi. Once again trained by Alban Elie De Mieulle for Wathnan Racing, she captured the USD 75,000 prize ahead of Roudha, with Zoffy completing the placings.

The evening reached its crescendo in Race 9, the QATAR OAKS, where Bint Mohaather delivered a performance worthy of the spotlight. Guided by Lukas Delozier, trained by M.H.K Al Attiyah, and owned by Al Jeryan Stud, she secured the USD 100,000 feature, holding off Make Love, while Magna Grecia Star finished third. It was a victory that not only closed the card, but defined it.

The 25th Al Rayyan Race Meeting ultimately stood as a showcase of Oaks excellence, measured riding, and stable depth, with the Qatar Oaks providing a fitting final statement to a night that steadily grew in stature and significance.
