The Huntingdon Race Cards 22 December will outline a compact seven-race National Hunt programme scheduled to take place on Monday afternoon, featuring competitive action across hurdles, steeplechases and a concluding bumper. Racing will begin at 12:20pm, with prize money ranging from ÂŁ4,000 to ÂŁ10,250 and distances stretching from just under two miles to nearly three miles.

The card will present a balanced mix of novice events, handicaps and a maiden flat race, offering opportunities for both established runners and developing types as the winter season progresses.

Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle (Class 4) – 12:20pm

The opening contest will be a mares’ novices’ hurdle over 1m 7f 216y, run for a total prize fund of £7,000. Khrisma, Annie Hathaway, Beep Beep Becky, Ever Ready, First Candidate and Hey Flint will be set to line up in a race likely to place an emphasis on jumping fluency and early positioning.

Jumps Handicap Steeple Chase (Class 4) – 12:50pm

At 12:50pm, attention will turn to a Class 4 handicap steeple chase over 2m 7f 129y, carrying the day’s highest prize money of £10,250. He Knows Better, El Saviour, Petty Cash, Baby Sage, Night Duty and Impatient will be expected to test stamina over Huntingdon’s extended trip.

Handicap Steeple Chase (Class 5) – 1:20pm

The 1:20pm race will be a Class 5 handicap chase over 2m 3f 189y, with ÂŁ7,500 on offer. Rehill Relic, Gwennie May Jem, Applicationofcash, One Million Dreams, Song of Earth and Imperial Pride will be due to compete in what is likely to be a closely matched mid-distance contest.

Blogger Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) – 1:50pm

A Class 5 handicap hurdle over 2m 3f 191y will follow at 1:50pm, also worth ÂŁ7,000. The field is set to include Kenzoko, Idaho Bridge, Albie Littlewood, Ebselysees, Cuillin Ridge, Pottersmattyeeehaa and Hiero Sport, with several runners expected to be closely weighted.

Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) – 2:20pm

The 2:20pm contest will be a higher-grade Class 4 handicap hurdle over 1m 7f 216y, offering ÂŁ9,000 in prize money. Frontier Prince, Ambiente Friendly, Aviemore, Across Earth, Galactic Charm and Benvoy will be scheduled to contest a race that could favour tactical speed.

Novices’ Handicap Steeple Chase (Class 5) – 2:50pm

At 2:50pm, novices will take centre stage in a Class 5 handicap chase over 2m 104y, with a prize fund of ÂŁ7,500. Electric Eddy, Catchim, Touquet, Zoeman, Belle Montrose and Grain Trade will be set to face a sharp test of jumping at pace.

Open Maiden National Hunt Flat Race (Class 5) – 3:20pm

The card will conclude at 3:20pm with a Class 5 open maiden National Hunt flat race over 1m 7f 216y, worth £4,000. Hitintheheadlines, Hobnail, Otie’s Friend, Potters Angeltiers, Viscountess Nelson and Milpat will be due to compete in a race designed to introduce future jumping prospects.
