Race 5 on the card at the Royal Western India Turf Club’s Mumbai Meeting 2025/26, Fifth Day, delivered a smart juvenile performance as Admirable landed The Faiz Jasdanwalla Trophy, a maiden race for Indian-bred two-year-olds over 1200 metres, run on Sunday, 21st December 2025 at 02:45 PM.
In a contest closely followed as part of the Mumbai race result 21 December narrative, Admirable (J: A. Sandesh) impressed with a professional display to score for trainer P. S. Chouhan, stopping the clock at 1:10.882. The winner races in the colours of Dr Ram H Shroff & Mr Raj H Shroff rep Stride Livestock Pvt Ltd, Mr S R Sanas, Mr Chetan Shah & Mr Subodh Maskara & Mr Pankaj Kumar Maskara rep Citoc Ventures Private Limited.
From the break, the juveniles showed plenty of early intent, with Admirable settling smoothly into a handy position as the pace developed. Jockey A. Sandesh kept his mount balanced through the turn, gradually asking for an effort inside the final furlong. Admirable responded with a sharp change of gear, asserting clear control late in the race to draw away decisively and mark himself as a two-year-old of promise in maiden company.
The runner-up spot went to Invictor (J: S. Zervan, T: Altamaash A. Ahmed), who chased the winner home gallantly, clocking 1:11.020 after staying on strongly in the closing stages. Rambo finished third for C. Umesh and trainer Shazaan Shah, crossing the line in 1:12.001, rounding out the podium in a race that offered clear early-season indicators among the juveniles.
