Settled smoothly through the early stages, Kavya travelled strongly as the field rounded into the straight, where Allan timed his move to perfection. Responding willingly when asked, the filly quickened smartly inside the final furlong, asserting clear control in the closing strides to seal a deserved Classic triumph against high-quality opposition.
The runner-up honours went to Fynbos (J: P. Trevor, T: P. Shroff), who chased gamely throughout and finished just over a length adrift in 1:35:716. Close behind, Social Butterfly (J: A. Sandesh, T: Dallas Todywalla) stayed on resolutely to claim third place, clocking 1:35:973, ensuring a tightly contested finish befitting a Grade I contest.
