The sixth race of the Christmas Meeting at Calcutta Racecourse, THE B M KHAITAN MEMORIAL CALCUTTA GOLD CUP (Grade II), saw a stunning performance over 1600m for horses aged three years and older on Saturday, 13th December 2025 at 03:00 PM. GOLDEN KINGDOM (J: M S Deora, T: Adhirajsingh Jodha) powered home to victory in 1:38.190 for owners Mr Kishore P. Rungta, Mr Sudendu Shah, Mrs Pooja S. Shah, Mrs Hiral Shah, Dr Rahul Shah, Mrs Preeti C. Shah, Mr K. M. Shah & Mr Tanmay V Mathurawala, delighting the crowd with a commanding display. The Calcutta race result 13 December highlighted the horse’s tactical speed and finishing prowess, marking a memorable Grade II win for connections.

GOLDEN KINGDOM settled just off the early leaders before unleashing a sharp burst in the final 400m, taking command decisively down the home straight. M S Deora timed the challenge perfectly, allowing the chestnut to accelerate past the field with a strong, fluid stride that left competitors chasing. Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha’s preparation was evident as the gelding showed both composure and determination in a fiercely contested sprint.

Runner-up honors went to DUBAI PRINCESS (J: Shezad Khan, T: Patrick Quinn) in 1:38.296, who stayed close to the winner throughout the final furlongs but just lacked the final punch. Completing the top three was DUKE OF TUSCANY (J: R Vaibhav, T: P. Shroff) in 1:38.345, producing a late surge to secure third place by a narrow margin.

With the sixth race concluded, eyes quickly turn to THE IVANOE CUP at 03:30 PM, promising another exciting test of speed and strategy in the Christmas Meeting lineup.
