In the Mumbai race result 7 December, the spotlight fell firmly on Psychic Star, who delivered a commanding performance to take Race 4 — The A. C. Ardeshir Trophy (Grade III) at the Mumbai Meeting 2025/26 on Sunday, 7th December 2025. Run over 1600 metres at 4:00 PM, the terms race for three-year-old Indian horses saw the P. Shroff-trained runner produce a sharp, polished display under jockey Vivek G., stopping the clock at 1:36:825 for owners Mr Vijay B Shirke, Mrs Vijay B Shirke, Mr Jay V Shirke, Mrs Liane Luthria & Miss Ameeta Mehra.

From the moment the gates opened, Psychic Star travelled like a filly with a plan. Settled smoothly into a stalking rhythm, the colt waited patiently behind the early pace before Vivek G. angled him out approaching the final 400 metres. Once shown daylight, Psychic Star quickened with purpose, asserting control inside the last furlong and drawing clear with an air of maturity that belied his age.

Once You Go Black tried hard to make a race of it, finishing second under C. S. Jodha for trainer J. E. Mckeown, keeping the eventual winner honest all the way to the line. Santissimo, partnered by P. Trevor and trained like the winner by P. Shroff, claimed third after staying on late, ensuring the stable had two runners finishing in the money.

With the A. C. Ardeshir Trophy decided, attention now shifts to the Prince Karim Aga Khan IV Memorial Trophy, scheduled for 4:30 PM, promising another enthralling contest on a packed Mumbai card.
