The Mysore Winter Races 2025 opened its third day with a sharp burst of excitement as Race 1, The Pattadakal Plate, a Class V contest for horses rated 00–25 over 1600m, kicked off at 02:00 PM on Wednesday, 03 December 2025. In one of the afternoon’s earliest highlights — and a result that will stand out in the Mysore race result 3 December discussions — Lead Singer produced a decisive finishing run to claim top honours. Guided confidently by jockey M. Prabhakaran and trained by Yogesh R, the winner carried the silks of Ms. B. P. Devaraja Kiran K. S, stopping the clock at 1:40.032 to register a commanding victory.
The race unfolded at an even tempo, with several runners travelling comfortably through the backstretch. Lead Singer was kept patiently in midfield before being angled out for a clear run approaching the final 300 metres. Once switched into top gear, the mare quickened smartly, collaring the front-runners with authority and stretching out powerfully in the closing stages. It was a performance marked by timing, rhythm, and a well-judged ride from Prabhakaran.
Behind the fluent winner, Gentleman’s Word (J: Akash Agarwal, T: Surender G T) ran a commendable second, clocking 1:40.279 after keeping the leader within striking distance but failing to match the winner’s final burst. Alluring Beauty (J: C. Umesh, T: Rakesh) completed the frame in 1:40.960, staying on late to secure third without posing a threat to the front pair.
With the opener setting the tone for an engaging afternoon, attention now turns to The Sahyadri Plate Div II, scheduled for 02:30 PM, promising another intriguing chapter in the day’s racing action at Mysore.
