The curtain came down on an exciting first day of the Mumbai Meeting 2025/26 with Race 7, The V. R. Menon Plate, a Class V contest for Indian horses aged four years and over, covering 1600 meters. In a performance that thrilled the crowd, Exotic Star (J: K. Pranil, T: S. Waheed) secured victory in 1:40:620, delivering a dominant finish for owners Mr Ketan S Wakkar, Mr Hittesh Chabria, Mr Shivam Amarnath Mishra, Mr Anil V Poduval & Mr Rajiv Tinaikar, Mrs Minal Pitale, Mr Suresh Pitale & Mr Nihar Pitale rep Green Turf Racing LLP. Race enthusiasts following the Mumbai race result 30 november were treated to a display of timing, power, and strategy from the winner.
From the start, Exotic Star settled comfortably in mid-pack before making a decisive move entering the final 400 meters. Guided by the astute tactics of jockey K. Pranil, the winner surged past the leaders with a well-timed turn of foot, maintaining momentum down the straight to cross the line in authoritative fashion. The filly’s combination of stamina and speed proved too much for the competition on a demanding Mumbai track.
The runner-up honors went to Marlboro Man (J: Ramswarup, T: Subhag Singh), who ran gamely but could not match the winner’s late burst. Third place was claimed by Daianne (J: Bhawani Singh, T: Karthik Ganapathy), completing the podium in a tight finish. The top three demonstrated competitive spirit, keeping spectators on edge until the final strides.
With the seventh race concluded, the first day of the Mumbai Meeting wrapped up in high spirits.
