Once set alight, the gelding quickened with purpose, asserting control in the straight and leaving the chasing pack with little room to respond. His acceleration in the final furlong underlined both his readiness and the stable’s astute placement.
Noble Cause ran a brave race in defeat, with P. Trevor guiding the S. Dominic trainee to a close second, stopping the clock at 1:07.08 after keeping the winner honest throughout. LG’s Star, ridden by Pavan for trainer V. Lokanath, stayed on for third in 1:08.09, completing the frame with a determined late effort.
