The fourth race of the day, The Kakanakote Plate Div II, a Class III contest for horses rated 40 to 65 over 1400 metres, took center stage at the Mysore Winter Races 2025 on Wednesday, 26 November. In an impressive display of speed and composure, Ultimate Blues (J: Anish Anamo Hangal) claimed victory for trainer Surender G T, stopping the clock at 1:26.926. Racing in the distinguished colours of Mr K V Sridhara, Ultimate Blues’ performance added another highlight to the Mysore race result 26 november, thrilling the crowd with a polished display of tactical brilliance.
From the break, Ultimate Blues settled prominently, tracking the early leaders while conserving energy for the decisive stretch. Displaying a well-timed burst of speed in the final 300 metres, the winner surged past competitors with authority, demonstrating both stamina and a sharp turn of foot that proved decisive in a tightly contested field.
Runner-up honours went to Theia (J: Anil Baandal, T: Pillay J S), finishing in 1:27.219 after a consistent challenge throughout the home straight. Sapient (J: L. Alex Rozario, T: Pillay J S) rounded out the top three in 1:27.312, ensuring a close finish that kept spectators on the edge of their seats.
With The Kakanakote Plate Div II concluded, all eyes now turn to the Dr. M.N. Doreswamy Memorial Trophy, scheduled for 4:00 PM, promising another thrilling chapter in the Mysore Winter Races.
