This Class III contest over 1400 metres saw Pantazi (3Y B C), ridden by P. Trevor and trained by Aashay Doctor, storm home in 1:25.516 to give a memorable win for her owners Mrs. Menaka Gupta, Mr. Salomone N. Benveniste, Mr. Vishal Doctor, Mr. Kamal J. Doctor rep. Pantazi settled just off the pace early, tracking the leaders with patience before unleashing a powerful burst in the home straight. Demonstrating a perfect balance of timing and acceleration, she surged past the field in the final 200 metres, leaving competitors struggling to respond. The victory underlined both her tactical speed and finishing kick, capping off a thrilling day at the Royal Calcutta Turf Club.
The runner-up honours went to Abhicandra (3Y B C), guided by R S Bhati for trainer Shyam S Habbu, who finished strongly in 1:26.092 after a patient ride. Third place was claimed by Norwegian Wood (5Y DKB M), ridden by Mukesh Kumar for trainer Bharath Singh, clocking 1:26.318 after a late challenge to round out the top three.
