Rezasrolex delivered another moment of pure joy on Friday (21st November, 2025) at Gulfstream Park, and the connection between horse and rider told its own story. As Edgard Zayas pulled him up after the line, he gave a small pat and a grateful smile – the kind riders reserve for horses who make their job feel effortless. Trainer Joe Orseno watched with pride from the rail, his expression softening as the crowd recognised the achievement. It was a warm, human moment, perfectly fitting for a horse in the form of his life.

Rezasrolex’s latest triumph – his seventh consecutive win – came in a commanding performance in the 5½-furlong optional allowance for Florida-breds on the Tapeta. Breaking alertly, he sat just outside the pace before lengthening beautifully through the stretch, cruising home by three and a half lengths in 1:03.33. It was his ninth win from his past ten starts, reinforcing why the Rezasrolex winning streak has become one of the standout storylines of the season.

Zayas, aboard for six of the seven victories, spoke with an easy fondness reserved for a horse he knows intimately. He described the plan – staying free, keeping out of a speed duel, trusting Rezasrolex’s rhythm – and admitted that once the race unfolded as expected, “It was just cruise control from there.” His admiration was unmistakable: “He’s a very smart horse… he knows where the wire is.”

Orseno, who claimed Rezasrolex in December 2023, has often praised the gelding’s consistency and calm temperament. Friday only added to the narrative: a horse improving with each run, thriving on the all-weather surface, and continuing to reward the team that believed in him.

Behind the star, Gabaldon produced a noteworthy effort on his first run on an all-weather track, holding second by a nose over the fast-finishing Sticky McShnickens.

The afternoon also set the stage for a lively weekend of racing, with attention now turning to the Juvenile Fillies Sprint and promising maiden contests showcasing emerging talent. La Dolce Vita, Tessellate, and Epigram headline the sprint, while the maiden features an exciting crop of youngsters from notable bloodlines – all adding further depth to an already compelling card.

Elsewhere in the morning training notes, major names continued their preparation at Palm Meadows. Skippylongstocking, eyeing a December return, breezed sharply over three furlongs, while In Our Time posted a smooth half-mile ahead of her winter campaign. Both moves hinted at strong upcoming performances from horses already proven at the highest level.

As the season moves toward its year-end highlights, Rezasrolex’s winning run continues to offer one of the most enjoyable storylines – a horse in harmony with his rider, thriving for his trainer, and delighting racegoers every time he steps onto the track.
