The fifth day of the Calcutta Races, Autumn Meeting, witnessed exhilarating action in the 6th race, The Cambridge Handicap Div I, a Class IV contest over 1400 metres for horses rated 21-46 (rated 1-26 eligible) on Sunday, 16th November 2025 at 03:30 PM. Clever Hans (J: Varun, T: Vikash Jaiswal), owned by Mr Vikash Jaiswal, delivered a masterful performance, crossing the finish line in 1:27.459, showcasing a blend of speed, composure, and tactical precision.

From the gates, Clever Hans settled just off the pace, conserving energy while observing the early leaders. As the field entered the final 400 metres, Varun expertly angled his mount through the inside rail, unleashing a decisive turn of foot that proved unstoppable. Clever Hans surged ahead in the closing strides, sealing a stylish and authoritative victory.

Noorie (J: P. Trevor, T: Deepesh Narredu) finished a close second in 1:27.509, staying within striking distance throughout and showing determination in the final furlong. Dancing Queen (J: Arul J H, T: Vikash Jaiswal) closed strongly to claim third in 1:27.807, ensuring a competitive and closely fought top three.
