Darrington (J: Arvind Kumar N) delivered a commanding performance for trainer Irfan Ghatala and owners M/s Ajaad Stud and Livestock (OPC) Pvt Ltd, represented by Dr Kumaravel and Mr J. Ramesh, stopping the clock at an impressive 1:37.67 to claim a first career victory.
From the break, Darrington settled prominently, tracking the pace with poise before unleashing a decisive turn of foot in the final 300 meters. The well-timed surge saw him draw clear in the closing stages, demonstrating both composure and a sharp finishing kick to secure the win in style.
Runner-up honors went to Skagen (J: P. Trevor, T: S.S. Attaollahi), who finished a whisker behind in 1:37.70 after keeping the winner within striking distance throughout the home stretch. Prince of Wales (J: Mukesh Kumar, T: Prasanna Kumar) closed well to claim third place in 1:37.71, rounding out a tightly contested top three.
