The concluding event of the Bangalore Winter Meeting’s second day, The Malaprabha Plate (Race No. 8), provided a fitting finish to Sunday’s action at the Bangalore Turf Club on 9 November 2025. A Class IV contest for horses rated 20 to 45, four years old and over, the 1200-meter sprint saw Mister Brown (J: Arvind Kumar. N) deliver a polished and confident performance under trainer Pradeep Annaiah. Racing in the colours of Mr Santhosh G, the 4-year-old bay gelding clocked 1:12.74, sealing a stylish victory and wrapping up the day’s proceedings in impressive fashion.
Breaking alertly from the gates, Mister Brown settled well into stride and tracked the early leaders before making a decisive move entering the final furlong. Arvind Kumar timed his run to perfection, urging the gelding forward with precision as Mister Brown surged clear of the chasing pack. Maintaining a strong rhythm through the last 200 meters, he showcased both speed and composure to keep rivals comfortably at bay in the closing stages.
Dictator (J: A. Sandesh, T: Darius R. Byramji) chased gamely to finish second, clocking 1:13.61, while Glorious Spectre (J: J. Chinoy, T: Neil B. Devaney) followed in third with a timing of 1:13.83 after a late bid that came too late to threaten the front pair.
With Mister Brown’s commanding triumph bringing the curtains down on the day’s racing, the Bangalore Winter Meeting now looks ahead to its next thrilling card, promising more competitive action and standout performances at the iconic Bangalore Turf Club.
