The opening race of the Bangalore Winter Meeting’s second day on Sunday, November 9, 2025, set a vibrant tone at the Bangalore Turf Club. The Jog Falls Plate Div II, a Class IV contest for horses rated 20 to 45 over 1400 metres, saw Rosaline (J: Antony Raj S.) deliver an authoritative performance for trainer Arjun Mangalorkar, crossing the line in 1:27.90 to secure a well-deserved victory. Racing in the silks of Mr Joydeep Datta Gupta, Mr Sanjay Datta Gupta, Mr Chandrakanth Kankaria, Mr Rajat Banerji, Ms Ameeta Mehra, Mr Haider Soomar, Ms Arun Alagappan Racing LLP, and Mr S.R. Sanas, the filly showcased poise and determination that belied her tender age.

Breaking cleanly from the gates, Rosaline settled prominently under the calm guidance of jockey Antony Raj S. The dark bay filly travelled comfortably through the backstretch before quickening impressively in the final furlong. Despite mild pressure from the chasing pack, she maintained a smooth rhythm and extended her lead near the finish, confirming her growing potential under the Mangalorkar stable’s watchful eye.

The experienced Adelanto (J: G. Praveen, T: Sriram Komandur)  tried hard to bridge the gap in 1:28.12 but had to settle for second after a game effort, while Divo (J: V.R. Jagadeesh, T: S. Shoban Babu) stayed on resolutely to claim third clocking at 1:28.25, rounding off the minor placings in a competitive finish.

With the curtain raised by Rosaline’s spirited triumph, anticipation now turns to the next contest on the card — The World Cancer Awareness Day Plate, slated for 2:00 PM, promising yet another exciting chapter in the Bangalore Winter Meeting.
