Riyadh readies for high class meeting 32 at King Abdulaziz Racecourse

The King Abdulaziz Racecourse in Riyadh gears up for an action packed evening on Saturday, 8th November 2025, as Meeting 32 takes center stage with twelve competitive races. The spotlight will shine on two standout contests – the Public Security Cup (Race 10) and the Riyadh Region Governorate Cup (Race 7) each carrying a grand purse of SAR 150,000 and set to draw the best local and open contenders to the track.

The Riyadh Region Governorate Cup Local Bred F/M Open will be run as Race 7 at 5:35 PM, over a distance of 1400 meters for Fillies and Mares only. With its lucrative prize and prestige, this race is expected to draw a competitive field – a true test of speed and timing.

The evening’s feature event, the Public Security Cup, will unfold as Race 10 at 7:05 PM. Covering 1600 meters, this premier contest boasts a SAR 150,000 purse and stands as one of the most anticipated races of the season. The field is set to feature elite milers ready to deliver a thrilling contest under the Riyadh lights – a race certain to crown a deserving champion in front of an enthusiastic crowd.

The racing action begins earlier in the afternoon with the Local Bred Fillies Maiden (Race 1) at 2:50 PM, run over 1200 meters for a prize of SAR 40,000, followed by the Open (Race 2) at 3:20 PM, also over 1200 meters with SAR 120,000 in prize money.

The Local Bred Horses Who (0-1) contest will follow as Race 3 at 3:45 PM, testing competitors over 1400 meters for SAR 45,000. The intensity continues in Race 4, a Handicap 0-90 over 1400 meters, offering SAR 95,000, and Race 5, another Handicap 0-90, this time stretching to 2000 meters, also with SAR 95,000 up for grabs.

The Local Bred Handicap 0-75 (Race 6) at 5:05 PM will challenge runners over 1800 meters for SAR 85,000, setting the tone for the much-awaited Riyadh Region Governorate Cup Local Bred F/M Open (Race 7).

After that, the evening continues with the Maiden (Race 8) at 6:05 PM over 1600 meters with SAR 40,000, and the Local Bred Fillies Who Won (0-1) (Race 9) at 6:35 PM, also at 1600 meters, with SAR 45,000.

Following the feature race, the day concludes with two contests – the Arabian Fillies Open (Race 11) at 7:30 PM over 1600 meters for SAR 85,000, and the Arabian F/M Open (Listed) (Race 12) at 7:55 PM over 1600 meters with SAR 120,000 in prize money.
