Rowdat Rashid Cup will take center stage at the 7th Al Rayyan Race Meeting, scheduled to take place on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at the Qatar Racing & Equestrian Club (QREC). The event is set to deliver another exciting evening of high-quality racing, featuring a strong seven-race card that showcases a mix of Thoroughbred and Purebred Arabian contests, with the Rowdat Rashid Cup – Thoroughbred Handicap (85–105) standing out as the feature race of the night.

The Rowdat Rashid Cup, to be run over 1200 metres and carrying a handsome purse of Qr 120,000, will bring together a talented field of sprinters rated between 85 and 105. This Class 2 contest is expected to be the highlight of the meeting, offering fans a thrilling test of speed and precision under the floodlights at Al Rayyan. The race promises to capture the essence of Qatar’s flat racing seasonfast, competitive, and full of anticipation.

The meeting will begin with the Thoroughbred Handicap (45–65) at 16:00, run over 1900 metres for a purse of Qr 50,000. The opener is expected to provide a strong start to the day’s action as middle-distance contenders compete for early glory.

The Thoroughbred Maiden Plate, scheduled for 16:35, will feature a 1200-metre sprint worth Qr 50,000. Promising newcomers will aim to secure their maiden win in what should be a tightly contested race over the short trip.

At 17:10, the Local Purebred Arabian Maiden Plate will be run over 1200 metres with Qr 50,000 in prize money. The race will offer locally bred Purebred Arabians a platform to showcase emerging speed and potential.

The Local Thoroughbred Handicap (0–45) will follow at 17:45, covering 1900 metres for Qr 45,000. This Class 6 contest is expected to test stamina and consistency among the locally bred runners.

Later in the evening, the Purebred Arabian Handicap (0–75) will be staged at 18:20 over 1900 metres, with a purse of Qr 55,000. This Class 5 event is anticipated to feature seasoned Arabian horses demonstrating their staying ability and strength.

The Local Purebred Arabian Handicap (75–95) will take place at 18:45, run over 1200 metres with Qr 70,000 in prize money. The sprint will see some of the top locally bred Arabians battle for supremacy in what should be a fast and competitive contest.

Finally, attention will turn to the Rowdat Rashid Cup – Thoroughbred Handicap (85–105), scheduled for 19:20, run over 1200 metres in Class 2, and offering Qr 120,000. As the feature race, it will bring together a quality field of high-rated sprinters ready to deliver an electrifying finale to the evening.
