The 6th race of the 14th day at the Mysore (Monsoon) Races 2025 — The Mysore Race Club Anniversary Cup, a premier contest for three-year-old and older horses run over 1400 metres — delivered a thrilling finish at 4:00 PM on Saturday, 25th October. Shamrock, trained by Satish Narredu and expertly piloted by Suraj Narredu, produced a dazzling burst of speed in the closing stages to capture the prestigious trophy in a sharp 1:23.142. The horse raced in the silks of Ms. M. Ravi, Daulat Chhabria, K. Kaliyaperumal, and Mrs. R. Chellam, marking an emphatic victory for the ownership team.

Breaking smartly from the gates, Shamrock settled comfortably in mid-pack before making his move approaching the final furlong. Under confident handling from Suraj Narredu, the bay accelerated powerfully through the straight to edge past the challengers in a dramatic finish. The Narredu duo’s tactical mastery — both in saddle and stable — ensured that Shamrock held firm despite fierce pressure from his rivals.

Just a whisker behind came Siege Courageous (J: Antony Raj S., T: Prasanna Kumar P.) who clocked 1:23.153, displaying great determination but narrowly missing the winning post. Snowfall (J: Yash Narredu, T: Aman Hussain) followed close in third at 1:23.669, completing a tightly contested finish that kept the crowd on edge.

With the Anniversary Cup concluded in spectacular style, attention now turns to the next event — The Bottolanda Mittoo Chengappa Memorial Trophy at 4:30 PM — as the excitement continues at the Mysore Racecourse.
