The 2nd race of the 14th day at Mysore Monsoon Races 2025, The Sri C. Sashachalam Memorial Trophy, a Class IV contest for horses rated 20 to 45 aged five years and above, unfolded over 1400M on Saturday, 25th October at 2:00 PM. In an impressive display of speed and control, Gemini (J: J. Chinoy) powered past the competition for owner Mr Suchit Jayaraj Shah, crossing the finish line in a sharp 1:25.764 to claim a decisive victory.

From the break, Gemini settled just off the pace before producing a strong finishing burst in the final 300 metres. Jockey J. Chinoy timed the move perfectly, weaving through the field and taking command in the home straight, showcasing both tactical awareness and the filli’s enduring stamina. The victory highlighted the winning combination of trainer Bobby M’s preparation and the owner’s strategic placement in Class IV company.

Double Vision (J: Pavan, T: S Shoban Babu) ran a determined race to secure second place in 1:25.919, staying close to the winner throughout the stretch. Tigerking (J: P. Mani, T: Vishal Yadav) closed steadily to take third in 1:26.176, rounding out a tightly contested top three.

Attention now turns to the R.M. Puttanna Memorial Trophy at 2:30 PM, promising another thrilling chapter in today’s racing action at Mysore.
