The curtain came down on the twelfth day of the Mysore Races 2025 with an electrifying finish in the 7th race — The Urs Kar Trophy (Div II), a Class III contest for horses rated 40 to 65 run over 1400 metres. Held on Thursday, 16th October 2025, the race saw Silicon Star (J: Antony Raj S., T: V. Lokanath) produce a polished performance to claim top honours for owner Mr Dinesh Kumar K, stopping the clock at 1:24.345.
Breaking smartly from the gates, Silicon Star settled mid-pack through the early stages before making a decisive move approaching the final furlong. Jockey Antony Raj S. timed his challenge to perfection, guiding the Lokanath-trained runner through a narrow opening on the inside. With a powerful late surge, asserted control in the final 100 metres, sealing a well-deserved and commanding victory under strong handling.
Mind Games (J: Pavan, T: J. Ganesh) chased valiantly to finish second in 1:25.233, displaying good intent but finding the winner too strong in the final strides. Mystikos (J: P. Trevor, T: S. Padmanabhan) finished close behind in 1:25.344, rounding off the top three in a thrilling finish that left the crowd applauding the competitive spirit of the field.
