The 4th race of the afternoon, The H. H. Sri Chamaraja Wadiyar Memorial Cup, lit up the 12th day of the Mysore (Monsoon) Races 2025 on Thursday, 16th October. Run over 1400 metres, this Class IV contest for horses rated 20 to 45 unfolded at 3:30 PM, delivering a tight finish that had the grandstand on edge. In a well-judged ride by jockey Pavan, Isabelle stormed home for trainer Vinesh V Naik, clocking 1:27.769 to secure a smart and composed victory for owner Mr. P. T. Girish.

Breaking smartly from the gates, Isabelle settled just off the pace before moving up menacingly on the home turn. Pavan timed the run perfectly, guiding the mare through a narrow gap in the straight before surging ahead in the final 100 metres. The filly displayed grit under pressure, holding off a late surge from her rivals to seal the race in a thrilling finish.

Polar Wind (J: Faiz, T: C. D. Monnappa) battled bravely but fell short by a whisker, finishing second in 1:27.793, while My Life My Rules (J: Imran Chisty, T: K. Aditya) closed fast to claim third spot in 1:27.970, completing a tightly bunched trio at the wire.

With The H. H. Sri Chamaraja Wadiyar Memorial Cup done and dusted, all eyes now turn to the day’s highlight — The Mysore Dasara Sprint Championship (Grade II) at 4:00 PM, promising top-class speed and spectacle.
