The Pune Meeting 2025, Special Race Day, witnessed an enthralling climax in the 6th race, The Suresh Mahindra Trophy, a Class I contest for horses rated 80 and upward, held over a marathon 3200 meters on Saturday, 11th October 2025 at 5:15 PM. Golden Kingdom (J: Antony Raj S., T: Adhirajsingh Jodha) produced a masterclass of stamina and strategy to claim victory in 3:28:915, carrying the colours of Mr Kishore P. Rungta, Mr Sudendu Shah, Mrs Pooja S. Shah, Mrs Hiral Shah, Dr Rahul Shah, Mrs Preeti C. Shah, Mr K. M. Shah & Mr Tanmay V Mathurawala.

From the outset, Golden Kingdom settled confidently in mid-division, biding time as the early pace set a testing tempo. As the field turned into the home stretch, Antony Raj S. found a perfect rhythm, gradually closing the gap before delivering a decisive surge in the final 400 meters. The horse’s relentless gallop and well-timed acceleration left rivals struggling, securing a commanding triumph in this endurance-testing contest.

Evaldo (J: P. Trevor, T: Aman Altaf Hussain) mounted a spirited challenge but had to settle for second, crossing the line in 3:29:870, unable to match the winner’s finishing kick.
