The opening race of the Special Race Day at Pune Racecourse on Saturday, 11th October 2025 set the tone for an electrifying afternoon. Race 1, The Severus Plate, a Class V contest for Indian horses aged four years and over (rated 1 to 26) over 1400 meters, saw Magical Star (J: A. Sandesh, T: P. S. Chouhan) storm to victory in a commanding performance. Racing in the colours of Mr Gautam Kotwal, Magical Star crossed the finish line in 1:26:587, delighting the enthusiastic crowd with a decisive opening win for the day.
