The final race of the day at Pune Racecourse, Race 10 – The Bay of Treasure Trophy, a Class IV contest for Indian horses rated 20 to 46 (0 to 19 eligible), unfolded over 1600 meters at 5:25 PM on Sunday, 21st September 2025. Giant Gold (3Y B F), ridden by Aditya Waydande and trained by Shazaan Shah, clocking in 1:39:230, stormed to a commanding victory for owners Mr Sudendu Shah, Mrs Preeti C. Shah, Dr Rahul Shah, Mr K. M. Shah, Mr Narendra Kumar Ambwani, Mr Kishore P. Rungta, Mr Gibran Khan, Mr Chirag V. Shah, and Mr Amit V Menda, marking a brilliant end to the day’s action.

Giant Gold settled nicely in mid-pack before unleashing a strong, well-timed burst in the final 300 meters, showing both composure and acceleration to edge clear of the competition. Waydande’s patient ride and Shah’s tactical preparation proved decisive, allowing the filly to dominate the closing stages and cross the line with authority.

Runner-up honours went to Beyond Stars (4Y B G), guided by Mukesh Kumar for trainer S. Waheed, who stayed in contention throughout but could not match the winner’s late surge. Marcus (4Y B G), ridden by C. Umesh and trained by Narendra Lagad, finished third after a consistent effort in the straight. The top three completed the day’s finale with a display of competitive Class IV racing.

As the curtains fell on the eighth day of the Pune Meeting 2025, all eyes now turn to the feature contests scheduled in the coming week, promising more excitement and top-class Indian racing.
