The eighth day of the Pune Meeting 2025 at Royal Western India Turf Club witnessed an electrifying sprint as Race 2, The Noble Prince Trophy, unfolded for Class V Indian horses aged four years and above, rated 1 to 26. Contested over 1200 metres on Sunday, 21st September 2025 at 12:50 PM, the day belonged to Ariyana Star (5Y DKB M), who stormed to victory under jockey P. Trevor for trainer Aman Altaf Hussain. Racing in the colours of Mr Dinsha P. Shroff, Mr Munchi P. Shroff, Mrs Aban N. Chothia, Mr Ashok Ranpise & Mr Anil Saraf, Ariyana Star completed the sprint in a commanding 1:10:018, leaving an impression of speed and composure.
From the start, Ariyana Star displayed tactical brilliance, settling smoothly behind the early leaders before launching a decisive surge in the final 200 metres. Trevor’s timing proved impeccable, guiding the five-year-old to carve through the field and seize a clear advantage approaching the finish line. The winner’s turn of foot and measured acceleration highlighted both the horse’s natural talent and the trainer’s preparation.
Runner-up honours went to We Still Believe (4Y B G), ridden by K. Pranil for trainer S. Waheed, who stayed close to the leader throughout the home straight. Third place was claimed by Impulsive (5Y CH M) under Bhawani Singh for Karthik Ganapathy, rounding out a competitive top three.
With The Noble Prince Trophy concluded, all eyes now turn to The Mystic Memory Trophy, slated for 01:25 PM, expected to deliver another thrilling contest at Pune Racecourse.
