The Pune Races Racecard 2025 takes center stage on Sunday, September 21, as the Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC) hosts its eighth day of the season. Ten contests are lined up, ranging from the Caprisca Trophy opener to the Bay of Treasure finale, with the Grade I Indian St Leger serving as the afternoon’s Classic highlight.

The Day Begins with the Caprisca Trophy

At 12:20 pm, the Caprisca Trophy over 1600m for older handicappers opens the Pune racecard. Northbound (Aditya Waydande/P. S. Chouhan) looks a strong contender, but Yuletide (P. Trevor/Narendra Lagad) and Madison (C. Umesh/Nirad Karanjawala) bring real depth. Marlboro Man (Ramswarup/Subhag Singh) adds experience, while The Flutist, Talking Point, and Leo the Lion are capable of making their presence felt.

Noble Prince Trophy for Speed

Sprinters clash at 12:50 pm in the Noble Prince Trophy over 1200m. Ekla Cholo (S. Mosin/Faisal A. Abbas) is well-fancied, but Ariyana Star (P. Trevor/Aman Altaf Hussain) and Flashman (A. At 1:25 pm, the Mystic Memory Trophy (1400m) provides middle-distance intrigue. Liam (Antony Raj S./Nazzak B. Chenoy) is well placed, with Kavya (N. S. Parmar/M. K. Jadhav) and Aries (D. R. Shubham/Vinesh) rated highly. Chardikala (A. Sandesh/Altamaash Ahmed) is one to watch, while Shirsa and Scaramouche bring further challenge.

Amazing Grace Trophy Showcases Class

The 2:00 pm Amazing Grace Trophy (1600m, Rated 60–86) lines up proven names. Chagall (S. Siddharth/P. Shroff) looks the standout, Alpine Star (Avinash Paswan/Narendra Lagad) comes with confidence, and Pride’s Prince (Antony Raj S./Imtiaz A. Sait) is another contender. Singer Sargent (C. Umesh/Faisal A. Abbas), Christofle, and Sir Baffert complete the field.

Suraiya & Masoom Master Cup at Speed

By 2:35 pm, the 1200m Suraiya & Masoom Master Cup brings raw speed. Quicker (Bharat Singh/M. Narredu) is one to beat, but Divine Intuition (Vivek G./Aman Altaf Hussain) and Aperol (P. Trevor/Nirad Karanjawala) will challenge. Bee Magical (Neeraj Rawal/Imtiaz Sait) is another leading chance, while Western Star, Goddess of Dawn, and Social Butterfly ensure a lively sprint.

Warsaw Pact Trophy (Div II) Wide Open

The 3:10 pm Warsaw Pact Trophy Div II (1100m) is unpredictable. Ashwa Gypsy (Haridas Gore/Sanjay Kolse), Johnny Mac (Vivek G./Hosidar Daji), Mojo (Ritesh Gochhi/Faisal Abbas), and She’s A Teaser (Bhawani Singh/S. Waheed) are strong, while Mirae, Jetfire, AR First Star, Lion King, Prince Igor, and Northern Singer all keep the market busy.

DCN Million Showcases 3-Year-Olds

At 3:45 pm, the DCN Million (1400m) highlights young talent. Caradoc (P. Trevor/Dallas Todywalla) leads, Diego Garcia (A. Sandesh/Nirad Karanjawala) is progressive, and Tyrannus (Antony Raj S./Imtiaz A. Sait) adds strength. Azalea, Conjurer, Dreamer, Hazel, and Viennoise complete a strong lineup.

Indian St Leger – The Classic Crown

The Indian St Leger at 4:20 pm is the feature over 2800m, India’s final Classic of the season. Arkadian (P. Shroff) and Duke of Tuscany (P. Trevor/P. Shroff) bring formidable stable power. Golden Thunder (Antony Raj S./Karthik Ganapathy) and Odysseus (Neeraj Rawal/P. Shroff) are major contenders, while Positano, Tiepolo, Doctor Dolly, Pyrite, and Thalassa add to a stellar field.

Warsaw Pact Trophy (Div I)

At 4:55 pm, the Warsaw Pact Trophy Div I lines up sprinters again. Cinderella’s Dream (A. Sandesh/Faisal Abbas) holds strong claims, but Storm Cloud (Ramswarup/Narendra Lagad), Joondalup (Ritesh Gochhi/James McKeown), and Abhicandra (Aditya Waydande/Sanjay Kolse) will test her. Star Romance, Foujita, House of Lords, Red Merlot, and Disciplined add depth.

Bay of Treasure Finale

The day closes at 5:25 pm with the Bay of Treasure Trophy (1600m). Simola (Ritesh Gochhi/James McKeown), Marcus (C. Umesh/Narendra Lagad), Storm (T. S. Jodha/Behram Cama), and Absolute Gorgeous (R. Ajinkya/P. S. Chouhan) lead the field, while Desert Classic, Beyond Stars, La Dolce Vita, Jagger, Saseka, and Giant Gold provide strong opposition.
