Mysore Races 2025 kicked off its sixth day in emphatic style on Friday, 19 September, as Adornment (J: Antony Raj S.) produced a polished performance to win the 1st race of the day — The Kumaradhara Plate, a Class V contest for horses rated 00 to 25, run over 1400 metres at 2:30 PM. Representing the silks of M/s Mukul A Sonawala, Girish Mehta, DT Racing & Breeding LLP rep. by Mr. D. R. Thacker & So Blest Trading Co. Pvt. Ltd., the Darius Byramji-trained runner stopped the clock at an impressive 1:24.665 to secure her victory.
Breaking alertly from the gates, Adornment settled comfortably in mid-division under the patient handling of Antony Raj S. As the field swung for home, the filly was angled out smartly and unleashed a decisive burst of speed down the centre of the track. Showing both determination and class, she surged past her rivals inside the final 100 metres to seize control and cross the winning post with authority.
Star Symphony (J: Afsar, T: K. Pradeep Annaiah) chased gamely to finish second, falling short by a narrow margin in 1:24.789, while Southernaristocrat (J: R. N. Darshan, T: Kishan Thomas) stayed on steadily to claim third place, clocking 1:25.454.
With this strong opener setting the tone, Mysore Races 2025 now moves to the Sidapur Plate at 3:00 PM as the afternoon card continues to gather momentum.
