Sunday’s action at Pune Racecourse witnessed an electrifying display in Race 4, The Villoo C. Poonawalla Million, a 1200m term race exclusively for three-year-old Indian horses. Mutual Trust (J: A. Sandesh), trained by S. S. Attaollahi and owned by Mr Tegbir Singh Brar rep. Sarainaga Racing Pvt. Ltd., showcased a commanding performance, stopping the clock at 1:10:065 and claiming a decisive victory.
From the outset, Mutual Trust tracked a prominent position behind the early leader, patiently conserving energy before launching a precise and well-timed surge in the final 200m. Sandesh’s tactical acumen combined with the horse’s acceleration allowed Mutual Trust to edge clear, demonstrating both composure and speed that left the crowd impressed.
All For Love (J: Yash Narredu, T: M. Narredu) pressed hard throughout, finishing a close second in 1:10:384, while Foxy (J: T. S. Jodha, T: Behram Cama) produced a late flourish to secure third in 1:10:539. The top three were separated by fractions of a second, highlighting the fiercely competitive nature of the contest.
With the cheers still echoing, attention now turns to the eagerly anticipated S. A. Poonawalla Million Grade III, set to run at 03:40 PM, promising another thrilling chapter in Pune’s seventh-day racing.
