The fifth race at the Pune Meeting 2025, The Dinkoo N. Chenoy Salver DIV I, a 1200-metre terms race for three-year-old Indian horses, saw an impressive performance on Sunday, 7th September 2025, at 3:30 PM. SENECA (J: A. Sandesh, T: Nirad Karanjawala) powered through the finish line in 1:10:325, claiming a commanding victory for owners Mr Haider Soomar, Mrs Rashmee A. Amersey rep. So Blest Trading Co. Pvt Ltd, Mr Kishore P. Rungta, Mr Vivek S. Jain, Mr Saleem Fazelbhoy, and Mr Gautam Lala rep. Gainsville Stud & Agl Farm Pvt., Ltd.

From the start, Seneca showed composure and tactical intelligence, settling well off the pace before unleashing a strong turn of foot in the final 400 metres. A. Sandesh timed his challenge perfectly, navigating through tight gaps and responding to every shift in pace to secure a clear win. The horse’s acceleration and balance under pressure highlighted the trainer Nirad Karanjawala’s careful preparation and the synergy between horse and jockey.

EL MORAN (J: C. Umesh, T: Narendra Lagad) fought valiantly to finish second,  keeping Seneca within sight for most of the stretch. AEON FLUX (J: K. Nazil, T: Faisal A. Abbas) finished strongly to claim third, rounding out a competitive top three separated by fine margins.

With the applause still ringing across the turf, attention now turns to the upcoming Akkasaheb Maharaj Trophy at 4:00 PM, which promises an exciting clash of talent and stamina among the day’s standout contenders.
