Kavya Wins The Sentosa Cove Plate to Close Pune Meeting’s Third Day
The curtain came down on the third day of the Pune Meeting with The Sentosa Cove Plate, a class IV handicap for Indian horses rated 20 to 46. The finale provided an engaging end to the afternoon’s card, with Kavya, ridden by jockey N. S. Parmar and trained by M. K. Jadhav, emerging victorious in a time of 1:05:412.
Racing in the colours of Mr Prashant Nagar representing SKJ Thoroughbreds Pvt. Ltd., Kavya travelled fluently through the early stages before asserting authority in the straight, holding her rivals at bay with a measured performance.
The runner-up, Cinderella’s Dream, was guided by jockey A. Sandesh for trainer Faisal A. Abbas, finishing in 1:05:726. In third came Scaramouche, with jockey Aditya Waydande aboard for trainer Behram Cama, stopping the clock at 1:05:900.
With the Sentosa Cove Plate settled, the third day of the Pune Meeting drew to a close, the result board shining with a day’s worth of competitive racing. The focus now shifts to Pune once again for Saturday, August 16th, 2025, with another action-packed race day ahead.
